This year’s Machine Learning hands on module was designed for the radiologist who does not know how to program computers. The classes will show how a radiologist can train his neural network with his own cases, without writing a line of code.
“We are going to focus on the practical aspect of how to train a neural network, giving theoretical information summarized in each step of the process. Often, radiologists have doubts about the possibilities of technology, based on their clinical experience, which greatly enriches the discussion,” said coordinators Drs. Felipe Kitamura and Igor Rafael Martins dos Santos.
At the end of this course, the participant will have a general notion of how the process of training and validation of a Machine Learning model works. He can even retake the course at home, using his own images to train his neural network.
The objective of the module is to demystify the technology and show the importance of the basic concepts of Machine Learning to radiologists.
