The program of the Women Imaging module covers two major specialties, Gynecology and Obstetrics, distributed during the four days of the event.
The module was organized by the coordinators – Drs. Ayrton Roberto Pastore, Jacob Szejnfeld, Karen Y. Oh and Patricia Prando Cardia -, with the participation of Dr. Sergio Kobayashi in the area of Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine. This year, due to the partnership with RSNA, it will be possible for Dr. Karen Y. Oh (University of Oregon, USA) to participate, enriching the program organization.
“As in previous years, we will bring updates on the main topics that are part of the daily practice in imaging exams in Gynecology and Obstetrics and we will address trends in these areas, such as the new classification of uterine anomalies, the safety of imaging exams during pregnancy, the usefulness of MRI in the evaluation of initial and placental pregnancies, as well as topics on technical advances in US and MRI,” say the coordinators.
Due to the success of the module dedicated to Endometriosis at JPR 2019, a new approach on the theme will also be carried out this year, with radiologists and gynecologists interacting and opening space for discussion with the attendees.
“We will receive RSNA’s foreign speakers, Drs. Karen Y OH and Bryan Foster, and we will maintain the partnership with AIRP, receiving Dr. Jade Wong-You-Cheong. Participating Brazilian physicians are experts in their fields with numerous relevant international publications, such as Drs. Luciana Chamie, Heron Werner, Fabricio Costa and others. Participants can count on a dynamic module that will address topics of relevance and current affairs in image in Gynecology and Obstetrics, maintaining the high standard of the last years of this very important event in Brazilian radiology,” they explain.
